Mother (nature)

gathered branches
call my name

fragrant sunsets

I keep duty
like plain face

twisting heartaches
like french braid

trying to find
the balance sublime

silence

fell softly
around me
like snow storm

soft + torrid

a quiet swallow
in a loud world

I have become

all the threats
that fear me
all the bullets
I run from
all the tears
that stain me

I bleed

clear glass
I walk
no paths
I ask
no questions

I fill

same holes
I begin
(no new ones)

my path is circle
my day is tread

where are the

tinder trees
+ heart call?

it is too long a time
to whistle same tunes

a symphony would save me

I am
mother

don't you
remember
my name?

I'm not in photos
I'm missing

one day I am
going to do
something
important

first,
I need to
clean
